By making a booking with Exploristers, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the following terms in full.
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Exploristers, a tour operator registered and operating in Sri Lanka. These Terms apply to all types of tours and facilities offered through our website, by telephone, email or any other booking channel.
All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as specified at the time of booking. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion without providing a reason.
A booking is considered confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from Exploristers via email or another agreed channel. It is your responsibility to review the confirmation and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.
Where a booking is made for a group, the lead customer accepts these Terms on behalf of all members of the group and is responsible for ensuring that all members are informed of and comply with these Terms.
Pricing for all tours is as published on our website or as quoted in writing at the time of booking. All prices are quoted in USD unless stated. Exploristers reserves the right to modify prices prior to booking confirmation; once confirmed, the agreed price will not change.
A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking. The balance must be paid in full, no later than the date specified in your booking confirmation. Failure to make full payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking.
We accept payment via credit card, debit card, bank transfer and other methods as indicated on our website. Payments are processed securely through our authorised payment processors.
We understand that plans can change. The following standard cancellation policy applies to all bookings with Exploristers, unless stated in writing at the time of booking.
If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, you must notify us in writing. The following cancellation charges apply.

15 to 30 days | 50% of the total tour cost |
7 to 14 days | 25% of the total tour cost |
7 days or less | 100% of total tour cost (No refund) |
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of receipt of the cancellation notice.
Exploristers reserves the right to cancel or modify any tour due to unsafe weather conditions, force majeure events or any circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will provide notice and will offer you either an alternative tour of equivalent value or a full refund. Exploristers shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by you, including but not limited to travel, accommodation or visa fees.
No refund will be provided for failure to arrive at the designated meeting point at the specified time without prior written notice to Exploristers.
The safety of all of our guests, guides and staff is our top priority. When you book with Exploristers, you agree to the following terms.
A certain degree of physical fitness may be necessary for some tours, especially adventure tours. It is your responsibility to make sure that you and every member of your group are physically and mentally fit to take part. Any pertinent medical issues must be disclosed to Exploristers at the time of booking. Exploristers retains the right to deny participation to any client whose fitness or health could endanger them or others.
Exploristers reserves the right to remove any customer from a tour at any time, if their conduct is unsafe, disruptive or in breach of these Terms. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Sri Lanka, Exploristers shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay or additional expense arising from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of nature, illness, theft, government actions, war or disputes.
Our total liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant tour.
While we take all care to ensure that the information published on our website and in our promotional materials is accurate and up to date, Exploristers does not warrant the completeness or accuracy of such information. Tour itineraries, descriptions and schedules may be subject to change without notice.
Certain components of our tours are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including local guides, accommodation providers and transport operators. Exploristers acts as an agent for these suppliers in certain respects and accepts no liability for the acts, omissions or defaults of any such third parties.
We recommend that all customers obtain travel insurance prior to travelling with Exploristers. Such insurance should cover, as a minimum, cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident and loss of belongings. Exploristers shall not be liable for any costs or losses that would have been covered by such insurance.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Exploristers, its directors, employees, guides and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms, your negligence or your wilful misconduct.
All content published on the website and in our promotional materials, including text, photographs, logos, graphics and itineraries, is the intellectual property of Exploristers. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any such content without our prior written consent.
By submitting photographs or reviews in connection with an Exploristers tour, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce and publish such content for promotional and marketing purposes.
In the event of any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or any booking, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
Exploristers reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The current version of these Terms will always be published on our website and will indicate the effective date. Continued use of our services following any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
